MC220L is a media converter designed to transfer media from 1000Base-SX/LX/LH to metallic lead 1000Base-T and vice versa. The MC220L converter, which was designed according to IEEE802.3AB 1000BASE-T and IEE802.3Z 1000BASE-SX/LX/LH, is designed for use with a multi-form/one-year optical cable with a SC/LC connector.

Other functions of this module include the possibility of using a separate device (no chassis) or the TP-Link 19 'chassis, MDI/MDI-X automatic detection for TX port and status LED lights on the front panel. The MC220L module allows data transmission using a multire-optical cable at a distance of up to 0.55 km and using a one-resistant optical cable to 10 km.
